Mental Health Act & Legal Services Apprentice
CALLING ALL SCHOOL LEAVERS:
Have you considered an Apprenticeship to kick start your career in Health and Care?
The Mental Health Act team works alongside Legal Services within the Corporate Directorate of Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust. The services are dynamic and responsive, providing bespoke Mental Health Act and legal support, guidance and assistance to the Trust. The Mental Health Act Team scrutinises and manages all paperwork in relation to detained patients, as well as supporting the appeal processes. The Legal Services team manage claims, coroner’s inquests, and freedom of information requests. Both teams respond to a variety of queries on a daily basis.
The teams sit in the same office within Trust Headquarters on the St George’s Hospital site and all staff work flexibly across the county to meet the demands of the services. Staff within the team work to competing demands. The frequent urgent nature of requests requires staff to be agile while working under pressure, with excellent prioritisation skills whilst providing empathetic responses and support to colleagues.
The core function provides assurance to the Trust in respect of minimum standards of legal and regulatory compliance, requiring identification of actual or potential breaches as well as continued awareness of legal, financial and reputational risk to the Trust and its officers.
The successful applicant will enrol onto an apprenticeship standard called Business Administration: Legal Administration.
The role will involve supporting the administration of the services during which time the successful candidates will work towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship qualification.
