Apprentice Catering Assistant
Have you ever thought about an apprenticeship to kick start your career within hospitality and catering?
We have a part-time vacancy of 28hrs per week in the facilities department for Catering Apprentice Assistant who will work alongside other department staff members, providing a safe catering service to patients, staff and visitors, including preparation and service of food, washing-up, and cleaning of equipment and work areas to a specified standard. The department will provide you with training and ongoing support to enable you fulfil the requirements of the job role.
What we’re looking for…..
A motivated individual with initiative to assist in busy catering areas with Lincoln County Hospital. The ideal candidate should be able to follow written and verbal instructions, understand and comply with strict hygiene regulations and have good communications skills. Ideally the candidate will have previous experience and basic hygiene knowledge but this is not essential as training will be provided through the L2 Hospitality Team Member apprenticeship. The successful candidate will have high personal standards, be able to complete simple records, operate machinery after training, and be capable of working without direct supervision.
Entry Criteria:
Evidence of English and Maths qualification as follows:
English GCSE grade 4 - 9 (A* - C) or Functional Skills Level 2
Maths GCSE grade 4 - 9 (A* - C) or Functional Skills Level 2
Please note: Evidence of achievement (certification) must be seen prior to appointment.
Interviews will take place on the 4th October at Lincoln County Hospital.
