Whilst on placement you have a tour of department to gain an overview of different areas within pharmacy. You will assist and observe the following tasks:
- Tour of department, brief overview of different areas within pharmacy (e.g. stores, procurement, clinical trials, medicines information, manufacturing)
- Shadowing within the inpatient pharmacy dispensary. may include :labelling and dispensing , reception, stock checks, dealing with queries, maintaining stock levels
- Shadowing a Pharmacy Technician or Medicines Management Assistant at ward level. May include: patient consultations, dispensing at ward level, managing stock levels
- Summative meeting/Q&A session for further info re. career options
