This placement offers students the chance to observe gastroenterology services in a hospital setting. Students will:
- Observe the day-to-day running of Dixon Ward.
- Spend time in outpatient clinics and the endoscopy unit, watching how patients are assessed and treated.
- Learn about the role of different staff members working within gastroenterology and how they contribute to patient care.
This is a purely observational placement, giving students a valuable insight into specialist healthcare without undertaking clinical tasks.
