PLACEMENT INFORMATION: The department aims to provide consistent dietetic and nutritional advice to patients, carers and staff for the dietary management of disease and in the promotion of health.

PLACEMENT DETAILS: Whilst on placement the individual will have the opportunity to observe clinical dietitians seeing adult patients on the wards and/or adult and paediatric patients in outpatient clinics.

The individual may observe dietitians undertaking nutritional assessments, advising on the appropriate diet for clinical conditions, and supporting and advising patients and carers. The individual will be encouraged to gather evidence of what they have done and observed and reflect on their learning as this can be used for their CV/personal statement if applying to UCAS or employment.
