The EBME Department covers the maintenance, repair and management of medical devices, as well as training staff on the proper use of devices within the Princess Alexandra Hospitals NHS Trust.
While on placement there will be opportunities to shadow our senior engineers, library assistants, and trainer.
Students will be able to see and understand the mechanics of repairing broken equipment. Learn how regular servicing of vital high-risk equipment helps patients and staff. Observe staff training sessions. Tour the hospital with our Librarian to maintain our centralised stock of equipment.
