This placement offers students the chance to explore the world of IT and digital services in healthcare. Students will:
- Gain hands-on experience with 1st line support services, including the Service Desk and System Access Services.
- Shadow 2nd line engineers, learning about troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of IT systems and equipment.
- Where possible, join calls or visits with 3rd line specialists to see how more complex issues are resolved.
- Develop an understanding of how digital infrastructure underpins patient care and staff efficiency across NHS sites.
