This placement provides experience in both clinical and administrative aspects of ward life. Students will:
- Support with supervised administrative and clerical tasks, such as filing and note-keeping.
- Observe a range of clinical practices across the ward, depending on student interests.
- Carry out basic clinical observations under the direct supervision of trained staff.
- Gain an understanding of how a ward team works together to deliver safe and effective patient care.
This placement gives students a balanced view of both patient-facing and behind-the-scenes roles in healthcare.
