Entry Requirements

Atlanta started her Intermediate Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care in September 2015 based within the outpatients department of Johnson Community Hospital. Atlanta was initially unsure of what she wanted to do for a career “but when the job came it sounded interesting. The best bits included meeting the team and getting welcomed straight away – alongside knowing that I like and enjoy what I am doing.”

During the apprenticeship Atlanta has been able to undertake additional training including phlebotomy, ECG training, visual field within ophthalmology training and the care certificate. Atlanta has now secured a Full Time permanent role within the Trust and is looking forward to developing her skills within the outpatients team.

Contribute to health and safety in health and social care
The role of the health and social care worker

Options Units
