PLACEMENT DETAILS:
Whilst on placement, individuals will be allocated to a Medical Consultant who they will shadow as they carry out their duties within the hospital. Dependent upon the area and specialism, students will observe a range of activities in order to gain an appreciation of the medical role and the diversity of tasks undertaken. All patient facing activity will be subject to patient approval.

Observing ward rounds in Respiratory, acute medicine, Outpatient, bronchoscopy
Shadowing medical and nursing team
Patients discussions in handover and MDT
